TRAINING PROGRAMS
Prairie Pursuit Gundogs offers a variety of training programs tailored specifically to you and your dog's needs. Whether you're looking for an early puppy socialization program or advance hunting program, we have you covered! During your dog's stay, we provided them with a stainless steel bowls, an elevated Kuranda Bed, and the luxury of staying in our climate controlled facility. Owners provide food for the duration of the training. Proof of vaccinations are required. Distemper and Rabies are required through the State of Iowa. Payments are received at the beginning of each training month. During enrollment, we require a deposit to reserve your dog's training spot. This deposit is applied to your first month payment. We accept cash, check and venmo @Ashley-Paulsen-10. If enrolling in a hunting program, PPG provides birds at no additional cost! Basic Obedience
Basic Obedience
Our one month board and train Basic Obedience program covers sit, leave it, place, heeling on a loose leash, no jumping, no mouthing, and introduction to recall. Owners have the options to include collar conditioning at no additional charge. This program is tailored specifically to the owner's lifestyle.
Advanced Obedience
Advanced Obedience
One month board and train Advance Obedience program is built off the foundation of our basic obedience program. We build on the basic obedience commands by adding duration, distance, and distractions. To enroll in this program, we require dogs to successfully complete our one month basic obedience program.
Started Upland Program
Started Upland Program
Our three month board and train Started Upland program covers basic obedience, collar conditioning, force hold/fetch, field quartering, introduction to birds and guns.
Started Pointer Program
Started Pointer Program
Our four month board and train Started Pointing program covers basic obedience, collar conditioning, "whoa" training, field quartering, introduction to birds and guns.
Started Waterfowl Program
Started Waterfowl Program
Our three month board and train Waterfowl program is offered from early spring-late fall. This program covers basic obedience, collar condition, force hold/fetch, steadiness, introduction to land/water marks, introduction to birds and guns.
The Dual Program
The Dual Program
Our five month board and train Dual program combines the Started Upland and Started Waterfowl Program. This program allows your dog the opportunity to become a versatile hunter.
The Advanced Hunter Program
The Advanced Hunter Program
Take hunting to the next level with your dog! This program is tailored specifically to each individual dog. The duration of this program is customized for you, the handler. To enroll in this program, your dog must successfully complete one of our Started Hunting Programs.
