THE TRAINERS
TIMothy
Tim was born in Northwest Iowa and grew up hunting with his family's bird dogs. He began training his own dogs at the age of thirteen. In college he pursued his passion for animals and received a degree in wildlife management at Iowa State University. Shortly after college, Tim began working on exotic hunting ranches in Texas. There he trained and handled pointers, retrievers, and hog hunting dogs. He was in charge of handling the dogs and a guide for hunting clients.
ASHLEY
Ashley was born in South Dakota and moved frequently as a child. When it was time to fly from her parent's nest, she moved across the country to attend a specialized dog training academy in Texas graduating as a Canine Training Specialist. Shortly after, Ashley took the opportunity by accepting a trainer's position with a credited guide dog school in Florida. She spent her early dog training career as a Certified Guide Dog Instructor for the blind and a service dog trainer for veterans with PTSD.

Tim and Ashley's love for dogs brought them together. They decided to start Prairie Pursuit Gundogs to share their love for dogs with others. Tim and Ashley have established themselves in Hartley, Iowa where they're raising four beautiful daughters and continue to grow their business. They want to help dogs owners get the most out of their hunting dogs because there is nothing better than watching a dog do what they love. Families who hunt together, stay together.
